I would like to know why did other greek supporters named their groups GATE, like pao, paok, etc ? Thanks.

You did not understand the question, we know why olimiakos named the group gate 7 (after the tragic happend at that entrance) why did others name their group gate? And who was the first one named their group gate? Did Oly fans had other names for them self before gate 7? And wich ones?

aaah sorry. they are called gate because that is what we call the sections of the stadiums. Thyra in greek which means gate. the entrances are called gate 1, 2, 3, and so on.
so gate 7 is where our fanatics are behind the goal, and the same for others, 21 for aek's old stadium in filadelfia, 13 for pao's old stadium at leoforo and 4 for paoks touba stadium. all are behind the goal.
i'm too young to know detailed history but i think olympiakos was first to use the name gate, maybe fanatic1925 can help with that question. yes there were lots of groups before the tragedy, just like there are now but they did not come together under the common name Gate 7 until after that tragic day.

all fans in greece named their groups first from gate that all fanatics supporters stay there and after from their name...
Gate 7 Olympiakos
Gate 13 panathinaikos gays
Gate 1 Monsters Larisa
Super 3 Aris...

just to add, it's the same way some stadiums have "ends" or "stands" we don't have names for them, just numbers

sorry ... (you recovered from saturday yet?  ) , didnt see this part, as far as i know the only one that still exists was erythroleykh stratia (red and white army). the rest where all called S.A.F.O.P. and the name of the neighborhood. so it could be safop pagrati, or safop korydallo. SAFOP stands for "club of athenian fans of olympiakos peiraias". SAFOP was replaced with GATE 7 after 1981, and the other clubs started appearing almost immediately and very quickly, with porto leone and athens club were among the first.
however GATE 7 didn't officially become a real central group with influence on all the other groups until 1995 when all the clubs started to put their money together to achieve things, like cheaper away trips, better materials, etc etc.
